I can't believe little Miss Claire is 10 weeks old! Harry and I are enjoying every minute we get to spend with her. We are still loving her sitter, Shandy, which makes it easier to drop her off in the mornings.
Claire is learning lots of new things. She can now turn over from her tummy to her back and soon she will be turning from her back to her tummy. As you can see in the picture above, she has a beautiful smile that we get to see quite often. She also loves to talk to Mommy and Daddy. The little noises that come out of her mouth are so cute!
The highlight of her night is bathtime. She loves taking baths, but still isn't sure about the lotion massage after bathtime.
Harry is traveling to Memphis tomorrow for business and will be gone for 2 nights. My mom, GG, is coming to visit and help while he is away. We are so excited and thankful that she can come.
Tomorrow is a big day for Claire too. She will be getting her 2 months shots. Luckily, Harry will be going with us to the doctor. Please say a little prayer for her in the morning!(and maybe us as well)
Here is Claire cheering on the Vols while sleeping. Since the Vols weren't lucky enough to make it past the first round, we will be cheering on the Tigers. Mommy never thought she would say that!
On Tuesday, Claire and I woke up at 5:30am to start getting ready for mommy's first day back to work. After nursing, she hung out with daddy in the bed until mommy was finished getting ready. At 7:15 we headed to Mrs. Shandy's. Claire fell asleep on the ride there, but I did get her out of her carseat once we arrived and snuggled with her for a few minutes. The tears started rolling down my face as I handed her to Shandy and began to walk out the door. The waterfall of tears continued on my way to work and for about the first hour of work. I knew it was going to be hard to go back, but never dreamed how much I would miss my little girl. Shandy sent me text messages through out the day which helped me feel better. Every day it is getting a little easier to leave her, but I will say I have never looked forward to the weekend this much before.
