Our New Friend

Coming home to Knoxville has been a huge adjustment for our little family. I know Claire misses her West TN family, but she has been crying a whole lot more this week. Harry called the pediatrician this morning and we went in to see him. For some reason, I am not producing enough milk to keep up with little Claire's appetite. The can of Enfamil above is our new friend. Tonight Claire nursed and when she was finished nursing, we "topped her off" (as the pediatrician put it) with formula. She ate about an ounce and has slept ever since. Harry and I were finally able to go out to eat. We also ran errands. We are all very happy!
The pediatrician did recommend an herbal supplement that will hopefully allow me to start producing more milk. Please pray that it will do the trick. I love the time I get to spend nursing Claire and hope to soon be able to give her all that she needs.

Weight: 7 lbs 6.5 oz (getting close to her birth weight)
Length: 20.5 inches (she isn't shrinking...the hospital measures length with the toe pointed and the pediatrician measures length with the foot flat)
Head: 35.7 cm

Wordless Wednesdays

4 Weeks Old

I can not believe that Claire is 4 weeks old today or that she will be a month old on Friday. I love that I am getting to spend so much time with her. I am trying to savor these moments since I will be returning to work in 4 weeks.
We had a wonderful 2 weeks in West Tennessee. Claire had so many visitors and received lots of adorable gifts. Also, I was able to get some much needed rest. (Grandparents are AMAZING!)
We made the journey back to Knoxville on Sunday. We are so lucky that Claire is great in the car. It was so hard to leave all of our family, but we will be back the week of February 15th.

Our Weekend with Daddy

We had a great time this weekend while Harry was home. We really enjoyed seeing all of our friends at the Meet and Greet Baby Claire. I loved watching all the guys hold Claire. Thanks again Amanda for opening up your home and for all the yummy food!

Sunday was Claire's first time to go to church. She was very well behaved. (she slept the whole time) At the end of the service, many of the church members were able to see her. She was a big hit!

Tummy Time

Claire was not thrilled about her tummy time this morning. With a little help from her GG, she was crawling around.

Harry comes home from training today and we are SO excited about spending the whole weekend with him. Tonight we are traveling to Cordova tonight to stay with Papa Mark and tomorrow we have our meet and greet Baby Claire at Amanda's. (Thank you Amanda!!) Harry and I can't wait for all of our friends to meet Claire.

Wordless Wednesday

We Made It!

Harry, Claire, and I made it to Jackson last night and only stopped once. I was really worried about traveling 5 hours with a newborn, but she did great! I will try to take some new pictures this week of Claire and post them. I can't believe how much she is already changing.

Harry left tonight to travel to Nashville. He starts sales school tomorrow for Northwestern Mutual. We are so excited for him, but will miss him this week and next. We are looking forward to the weekend when he will be here.
